Computer Use Rules

When using computers at Esquimalt:

1. Keep food and drink away from computers

2. Keep your username and password secret

3. Only use programs you are asked to use

4. Only use websites related to your assignment

5. Never run programs from home

6. Never allow anyone else to use your account

7. Never play games

8. Do not adjust mice, cables, computers or monitors without permission

9. Do not attempt to breach computer security

10. Only use personal web services outside class time and always communicate politely online

Students are responsible for all use of their computer accounts.  Any failure to use the school’s computers responsibly as outlined above will result in immediate loss of access to computers at the school.

Irresponsible actions may also result in other disciplinary actions and the involvement of appropriate law enforcement agencies where applicable.
